Ep 8. How somatics helps my client manage her autoimmune condition

Chronic health conditions, including autoimmune diseases, are a common reason people end up seeking somatic work.

My client Hillary began working with me after being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, a condition commonly associated with and worsened by stress. Hillary shares her journey at a stressful job struggling with burnout and how somatics helped her reduce stress, stop people pleasing, get clear on what's important to her, and ultimately decide to leave and take time for herself. This is a sweet conversation and a great example of the profound impact of the transformation possible through somatic coaching.

Jaclyn Explores is hosted by Jaclyn Shea (she/her) a somatic coach, embodiment facilitator, science communicator, and health researcher. With a Masters in Public Health, trained in Somatic Stress Release and Mind Body Coaching, and ten+ years of experience facilitating and conducting research Jaclyn is passionate about communicating the latest research into somatic practices that help you release stress, process trauma, and live life on purpose. Jaclyn work one-on-one clients through somatic coaching, facilitate a group program called Body Language Lab and workshops.
